Because I fucked things up and did it the WRONG way.
See, there is an advantage in getting your ass kicked.
That may sound odd to some, but ask a guy who's winning in life and business about his losses, and he will tell you they were more valuable than any ivy league degree.
I would not trade my past for anything because I would not know what I know now.
Look around friend.
Some of the most successful people on earth at one point in time completely fu*ked things up.
Failed marriages.
Failed businesses.
Depression.
Addiction.
Some lost it all and went all the way to "rock bottom."
Those are the smart ones.
Those are the champions.
Those are the ones that learned.
Those are the people that know their shit.
Those are the ones running the biggest companies right now.
WHY?
BECAUSE THEY HAVE SEEN BOTH SIDES OF THE COIN.
When you know were the pot holes are you know how to avoid them.
When you know where the traps are, you know how to avoid them.
As an off road racer I can tell you there is an advantage to pre-running the course.
When you are doing 110mph in the race truck and you already know where all the big rocks are, chances are you wont hit them.
I figured a lot of things out about business when I hit all the rocks.
I learned that if I mapped the course out I could go a lot faster, and hit a lot less rocks.
If I simply created a MAP before the race, I'd win more.
Why have I become such a an effective business coach?
BECAUSE I AM THE GUY WHO CAN HELP YOU BUILD THE MAP.
It's easy to read about economics and business and marriage and all that stuff, it's another thing to be dealing with the weight of hundreds of employees, millions of dollars, and a wife that want's you home at 5 for dinner when the market is taking a shit.
It's easy to talk from the sidelines, but the guys IN THE ARENA are the ones who know how to fight.
Imagine you are going to WAR and you had to choose your captain.
You have 2 choices.
1. The dude who just graduated west point with good scores, good training, the clean and oiled gun, pressed pants and shiny shoes.
OR
2. The dude with blood on his hands, mud on his boots, a tattered and torn uniform and a well worn gun that's been shot in battle after battle.
I choose #2 EVERY DAY OF THE WEEK.
AND SO SHOULD YOU.
Why?
BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN THERE.
BECAUSE HAS EXPERIENCED WAR AND HE'S ALIVE.
That guy knows something the west point guy does not.
He knows the battle and the war and he's learned things that you simply cant learn until you have someone else shooting at you.
Just just like this dude with the muddy boots, I got my ass kicked, lost millions, went through a nasty divorce and found a way to survive all that and rebuild my empire.
I coach HUNDREDS of people all over the globe.
I have helped dozens of businesses double (and more) their revenue.
I have helped teams and organizations find a WORK/ LIFE balance.
I have watched marriages be saved and suicide be avoided.
HOW?
WHY?
Because I learned all the areas to go really fast, which areas had all the rocks, and I have become really damn good at helping high performing companies and individuals get clear and hit their targets.
